

Laboratories




We are equipped with a P2-level genetic recombination laboratory for biotechnology-based experiments and testing, as well as research and development in the life science fields. We conduct research in a wide range of areas including drug delivery system (DDS) development and quality testing, in vitro testing, genetic analysis, DNA/RNA purification, gel electrophoresis, specimen testing, sample preparation, and reagent storage. Our specialized facilities and skilled staff support innovative research and contribute to the development of new life science fields and medical technologies.
Cleanrooms


These are designed in compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP) ordinances to provide a highly clean environment. We strive for excellence in quality and reliability in research reagent original equipment manufacturing (OEM) manufacturing and research by minimizing particulates and microorganisms. In addition to being a sterile and safe environment for OEM contract research reagents, the facility also ensures an efficient work environment that is safe and comfortable for workers. These advanced facilities and our in-depth training of workers dramatically reduce the risk of trouble and contamination in the manufacturing process. We aim for more reliable results by focusing on ensuring a high quality and safe environment.
Equipment


Fluorescence Microscopes
This device is used to observe fluorescence generated by irradiating a sample with excitation light such as ultraviolet or visible light. It is used for fluorescence observation of samples, batch high-resolution imaging of the entire image, and time-lapse imaging.


Particle Sizing System
This instrument is used to measure the particle size distribution, zeta potential, and molecular weight of fine particles dispersed in solution, and is used to evaluate the physical properties and dispersion stability of nanoparticles in DDS development.


Multiplate Readers
This instrument enables the measurement of absorbance, fluorescence intensity, and luminescence by setting multiple samples in a multi-well plate simultaneously. It is used for the quantification of bioactive substances and cell-based assays.


Plate Readers
This device is used for DNA concentration measurement, endotoxin measurement (colorimetric method), etc.


Thermal Cyclers
This is a device that can amplify target DNA sequences. Even with a very small amount of a sample, it is possible to determine if the target gene sequence is present by amplifying only a specific sequence in a short time.


Real-Time PCR
This device measures amplification by PCR in real time and quantifies template DNA based on the amplification rate. It is used for the detection of viruses and pathogens, copy number analysis of transgenes, etc.


Centrifuge
This is a device that uses the density and mass of a substance to separate components by rotation. It is widely used in various fields and is mainly used for plasmid purification, plasma separation, and cell culture.


pH Meter
This device can measure the acidity and alkalinity of solutions and can display the hydrogen ion concentration on a scale of 0-14 on an electronic device. It can ensure the quality of products and evaluate their properties.


Biological Safety Cabinets
This box-shaped work facility provides a sterile environment. The air inside is sterilized through HEPA filters for both intake and exhaust, and is used for pharmaceutical preparation, cell culture, and handling infectious materials.


CO2 Incubator
This is a box-shaped device that can maintain constant temperature, humidity, and CO2 concentration in the chamber. It is used to maintain an environment similar to the physiological conditions of the human body and to culture cells in that environment.


Electronic Balance
This is a device that accurately measures the weight of an object. Measuring instruments that use electronic sensors and a digital display for precise measurements are used in various fields such as research, manufacturing, and inspection.


Freeze-Dried Equipment
This device removes moisture from quick-frozen samples by sublimating it under vacuum conditions. The effect of heat on the components can be suppressed and residual moisture is extremely low, enabling long-term storage.


Ultra Centrifuge
This device separates components of different densities by the magnitude of force, using centrifugal force at ultra-high rotational speeds of as much as 1,000,000 G. It is used for the purification of proteins and the concentration of viruses. It is used in protein purification, DNA separation, and virus concentration.


Internal Foreign Material Inspection
This device is used to determine whether foreign matter is contained in the liquid in a vial. It is used to remove defective reagents that are contaminated with dust or other foreign matter in vials.


Automatic Cap Tightener
This is a semi-automatic device for sealing vials using aluminum caps. The cap can be sealed by folding the edge of the aluminum cap so that it rolls in, and the type and color of the cap can be changed according to the product.


Cold Storage (-80℃,-20℃)
This is a low-temperature storage facility that maintains the quality of DNA, RNA, proteins, biological samples, and reagents. Ultra-low temperature storage is used for valuable samples or when long-term storage is required.
Office


Our offices are bright and spacious, with a wood-grain design and an emphasis on employee comfort. There are also desks that can be used freely. Our café corner is located on the same floor as the work area, where you can choose from a variety of drinks to suit your taste. Employees are encouraged to communicate with each other, and occasionally customers visit. We provide a pleasant environment designed to increase employee satisfaction and productivity.

This communication space has a café-like atmosphere.Here, employees can relax and communicate with each other, or take a break between tasks.
Meeting Room






We have three conference rooms to accommodate all your needs. All of the conference rooms are available for external and remote meetings and are ideally designed for a wide range of business activities.

This room is used for internal meetings as well as for hosting meetings with doctors and other companies.
【Room2】
The home-like atmosphere enables efficient discussions and also is ideal for small meetings.
【Room3】
It is suitable for remote meetings with external parties, but can also be used as a private room for work that requires concentration.
Okinawa Health Biotechnology Research & Development Center


This is an incubator facility in which companies and others can conduct health biotechnology-related research using research equipment, etc. It consists of three buildings: the Administration Building, the Research Building, and the Demonstration Building. Equipped with state-of-the-art chemical analyzers and demonstration equipment, the facility is conducive to a wide range of research activities, from basic research to demonstrations. We utilize these instruments for evaluation testing and R&D in pursuit of innovative results. With locally based researchers on staff, we aim to contribute to health biotechnology research in the region. We are committed to playing a leading role in the advancement of health biotechnology in Okinawa Prefecture and are engaged in daily research activities.
